Processing of personal data

Kuro Lighting processes your personal data when you use our services and/or because you provide data to us yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

  • Other personal data that you actively provide e.g. by creating a user profile on this website, in correspondence and by phone;

  • Geographical details;

  • Details on your activities on our website;

  • Internet browser and type of device;

  • Bank account number.

 

Processing of particular and/or sensitive personal data

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data on website visitors younger than 16 years old unless they have parental or guardian consent. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16 years. Therefore, we advise parents to be involved in their children's online activities to avoid collecting data without parental consent. Accessing, modifying or deleting data

You have the right to access, modify or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your potential consent to data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by Kuro Lighting, and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can request us to send the personal data we have of you in a computer file to you or another organisation named by you. You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, or data portability of your personal data or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to info@kurolighting.com. We ask to enclose a copy of your ID with your request to ensure the request for access is submitted by you. In this copy, black out your passport picture, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and National Register Number (NISS). This is to ensure your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, approximately within four weeks. Kuro Lighting would also like to inform you that you have the opportunity to file a complaint with the national regulator, the Dutch Data Protection Authority. Data security

Kuro Lighting considers the protection of your data to be a serious matter and takes appropriate measures to counter abuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of abuse, please contact our customer service or mail us via info@kurolighting.com. Kuro Lighting has taken the following measures to secure your personal data:

  • Security software, e.g. a virus scanner and firewall;

  • TLS (previously SSL). We transmit your data through a secure internet connection. This can be seen by the ‘https’ and the padlock sign in the address bar;

  • DKIM, SPF and DMARC are three internet standards we use to prevent you from receiving emails on our behalf that contain viruses, are spam or are intended to obtain personal (login) data;

  • DNSSEC is an additional security (complementary to DNS) for converting a domain name  https://kurolighting.com  to its associated IP address  (server name); it is provided with a digital signature. You can check the signature automatically. That way, we prevent you from being redirected to a fake IP address.
